Pinterest seems to be gaining more momentum every day, with the Twitter buzz being that the “virtual pinboard” site now is responsible for driving more internet referrel traffic than Linked In, YouTube, and Google+ combined! Â It’s no wonder, then, that the amount of amazing Disney “pins” just continues to grow. Â If you missed my first Pinning Disney post, be sure and check it out. Â In the meantime, here are my favorite Disney pins from the past week:
Thanks, once again, to Focused on the Magic for hosting this week’s Disney Wordless Wednesday! Â It’s the first Wednesday of February, so this week’s theme is your calendar shot for the month. Â This picture was taken several years ago at the Koi ponds at the Disneyland Hotel, which were unfortunately taken out as part of the hotel’s renovation last year. Â Be sure to check out my January “calendar” picture and stop by Focused on the Magic to see all of the other great shots!
Thanks to Focused on the Magic for hosting the Disney Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop! Â This week’s theme is Water, so here’s a look “under the sea” on the Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage. Â Be sure to stop by Focused on the Magic and check out all of the great watery posts!
If you haven’t joined the Pinterest craze yet, I simultaneously urge you to do so and caution you against it… it’s addicting! There is just about every Disney pic, beauty tip, recipe, craft, bucket list, and everything else that you can imagine on there. Â I’ve had so much fun creating “pin boards” with all of my favorite snippets from the Internet on their. Â Pinterest is basically a giant, virtual cork board where you can post “clippings” of things you love from anywhere on-line. Â It’s a vision board, memory board, and tip board all at once. Â Each board has it’s own theme and you can choose to follow other pinners’ boards with themes that interest you as well.
You’ll find every Disney reference imaginable, from obscure quotes to beautiful photos… here are my favorite Disney pins from the past week:
Thanks to Focused on the Magic for hosting this week’s Disney Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop! Â This week’s theme is Characters: Great & Small and one of the first pictures that came to mind was this one of Rapunzel and Flynn Rider from Walt Disney World. Â I found an image on Pinterest recently that said “I’m a Rapunzel, When Will My Life Begin?” Â As inconsequential as it may seem, that sentiment has been resting in my head and heart ever since… when will my life begin? Â When will those distant, dreamy stars be within my reach? Â I think that Rapunzel’s rich and realistic longing is the mark of a Great Character with Great Character.
Oh, those Vinylmation that Rapunzel and Flynn are signing are some pretty small characters… *wink, wink.* 😀
Admittedly this post has nothing to do with Disney. Its about finding Magic in those everyday, non-Disney moments.
I had the blessed opportunity to attend the Denver Broncos playoff game last night to see my favorite player of all-time, Tim Tebow, play in his first NFL playoff game. And it was nothing less than Magical. There really isnt another word to describe what I witnessed last night, and it wasnt all in that over-time, 11 second, 80-yard drive to win the game.
No, this was a night that was electrified with Magic rippling through the 75,000+ crowd. Pulsing through the seats like lightning through a stormy sky. The only feeling I can compare it with is that of watching Remember fireworks explode through a Disney sky. Or that moment when you step onto Main Street and see that gleaming castle in the distance.
Perhaps the most poignant moment of the night came when a bright full moon crested over the top of the stadium… it was radiant and particularly special for my family. My mom and grandpa had a special connection over full moons and football, so Im pretty sure he was looking down on us last night and smiling at our revelry. 🙂
Thanks again to to Deb at Focused on the Magic for hosting this week’s Disney Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop!

And what a year it was… From my first big group adventure in Disney World to a bittersweet D23 Expo, 2011 was a whirlwind of Disney excitement! Â When I sat down to chose my favorite, most reminiscent images from the year, there were so many I didn’t think I could fit them into a collage. Â So many good memories… it left me feeling better about this year than I have in a long time! 🙂 Â Disney aside, I couldn’t be more ready to say au revoir to 2011 and hope for a brighter 2012. Â But, my Disney memories were grand and here is a, fittingly, jam-packed tribute to every last one of them. Â Be sure to check back tomorrow when I break down the best of the best memories of the year!
