My favorite resort hotel is the Grand Californian, but a close second is the Disneyland Hotel. As Disney’s original on-property resort, the Disneyland Hotel is infused with the heart and soul of the resort.  One of my favorite parts of staying at this classic resort is the room decor.  I know it is a small thing, maybe completely unimportant to some guests… but for me it is the essence of Disney Magic.  My favorite detail?  As strange as it may sound, the bedspreads in the rooms.  I know, I know, the bedspreads? you ask incredulously… but have you taken the time to check out the amazing detail of these linens?  Each bedspread has drawings of classic Disney attractions blended in with the native California poppies and other flowing flowers.

These are the details that are planned down to the microscopic strokes and stitches, and, for me, they make all the difference between a normal hotel experience and a Disney hotel experience.  Likewise, it is these details in the parks that make the difference between a normal amusement park, and Disneyland, that somehow works its way into the deepest part of my heart and soul.
