{"id":25,"date":"2008-07-17T08:00:00","date_gmt":"2008-07-17T13:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/raysofdisneyland.com\/?p=25"},"modified":"2008-07-17T08:00:00","modified_gmt":"2008-07-17T13:00:00","slug":"happy-birthday-disneyland","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/raysofdisneyland.com\/?p=25","title":{"rendered":"Happy Birthday Disneyland!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Today Disneyland will celebrate its 53rd anniversary and every Disney anniversary seems to have its own vibe&#8230; its own cadence and mood. \u00c2\u00a0One of my favorite Disneyland memories is of Disneyland&#8217;s 35th Anniversary. \u00c2\u00a0When you are only 8, those towering &#8220;Party Gras&#8221; balloon floats are a pretty unbelievable sight to see. \u00c2\u00a0I will never forget the atmosphere of this time at the park. \u00c2\u00a0It was Mardi Gras&#8230; Disney style&#8230; and for my first trip to Disneyland, it was\u00c2\u00a0unforgettable. \u00c2\u00a0Remember the Dream Machine in the hub? \u00c2\u00a0The anniversary collage at the turnstyle? \u00c2\u00a0And those collectible &#8220;game piece&#8221; admission tickets? \u00c2\u00a0Yes, I have a hearty display of tickets all displaying\u00c2\u00a0&#8220;Sorry, No Win&#8221;&#8230; just my luck! \u00c2\u00a0My friends over at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.windowtothemagic.com\/\">A Window to the Magic<\/a> have lots of audio clips and memories from this celebration if you would like more info.<\/p>\n<div>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;\" src=\"http:\/\/1.bp.blogspot.com\/_rMIMYmR5gsA\/SH7T6Z_7SzI\/AAAAAAAAAHs\/q1tMaTewHps\/s320\/Anniversary+Collage.jpeg\" border=\"0\" alt=\"\" id=\"BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5223845618161240882\" \/><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The 35th Anniversary was definitely one to be remembered but when Disneyland turned 50 it seems that all other celebrations were left in the dust. \u00c2\u00a0Just three years ago I made the\u00c2\u00a0pilgrimage\u00c2\u00a0to Disneyland with throngs of other fans to partake in the wonder that was a half-century of Disney magic in sunny California. \u00c2\u00a0The 50th Anniversary brought the remarkable &#8220;Remember Dreams Come True&#8230;&#8221; fireworks spectacular, the hidden &#8220;50th Mickeys&#8221; and even a gilded castle, resplendent with crowns representing each land.\u00c2\u00a0<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;\" src=\"http:\/\/2.bp.blogspot.com\/_rMIMYmR5gsA\/SH7UG46mrRI\/AAAAAAAAAH0\/OHpQLDxJpxs\/s320\/50th+Collage.png\" border=\"0\" alt=\"\" id=\"BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5223845832618847506\" \/><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>There is something truly magical about celebrating Disneyland&#8217;s birthday in the heart of the magic. \u00c2\u00a0For us Disney geeks out there, Disneyland anniversaries rank right up there with our own birthday celebrations! \u00c2\u00a0These memories have barely scratched the surface of Disney anniversary&#8217;s over the years, so do you have a favorite Disneyland Anniversary memory?
